From May 2025 to May 2026, daily AI use rose from 23% to 42% in technology and from 10% to 27% in finance, the only industries where the occasional tier shrank.
Since May 2025, non-users fell 12 points while the occasional tier held at 20% to 22%; the gains went to weekly use (11% to 15%) and daily use (8% to 15%).

Gallup asks: “How often do you use artificial intelligence in your role?” Gallup's figures come from its probability-based panel, about 19,000 to 24,000 US employees per wave, in seven waves from May 2023 to May 2026, nationally and for 10 industries. Each Gallup wave's margin of error is about ±1 point, so 1-point moves are noise.
