Daily use, two different questions

Gallup's daily share has climbed. The St. Louis Fed's every-workday share has stayed in a narrow band since 2024.

Gallup's May 2026 figure is 15% of US employees using AI at work daily. The question is “How often do you use artificial intelligence in your role?” The figures come from Gallup's probability-based panel.

The St. Louis Fed's figure for the third quarter of 2026 is 11.5% using generative AI every workday. That series has stayed between 9% and 14% since 2024. It counts employed adults, and it counts generative AI.

Gallup's daily share rose from 4% of US employees in the second quarter of 2023 to 15% in the second quarter of 2026. The Fed series has stayed inside its band over the period it covers.

The two latest readings sit near each other. The question, the people counted, and the path over time each stay with their own tracker. How often do US workers use AI? keeps them on one page for that reason.
